Jan Ediger - Guidance Counselor

During the months of November and December, we are filled with gratitude and joy for helping others. It is my hope that throughout the years your student(s) spend at Hampton Public School, this gratitude and joy of giving back to others is instilled in them too. In the hope that as they go out into the world this becomes a part of their heart and soul - to give and to help others without any reason or the expectation of receiving anything in return.

Today the senior class continued what has become a tradition of serving children and families. We will travel to Grand Island to help with distributing toys and warm clothing for The United Way’s Toys for Tots program. Our seniors will have the opportunity to help parents pick out toys, games, coats, and gloves for their children. In recent years it has also given our Spanish class students the special opportunity to use their skills in a real-world setting. Past seniors have spoken of their experiences with tears of joy. It is my hope that this year’s seniors will also find meaning in their experiences.
